BTS concerts will fill Singapore’s National Stadium on four December nights. But HYBE and the Singapore Tourism Board want the rest of the city to feel like part of the show too.
Their newly announced BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SINGAPORE program runs from December 1 to 31, bringing themed installations, music, art, nightlife and landmark lighting to major attractions across the island. Singapore is the first and only Southeast Asian stop for the format in 2026, according to the tourism board.
The idea is bigger than adding photo spots around a concert. It gives international fans reasons to explore the destination before and after the performance, while giving tourism, retail and entertainment partners a place inside BTS fandom.

How BTS THE CITY spreads across Singapore
The program is built around a series of experiences rather than one central venue. Jewel Changi Airport will stage a BTS-themed light and music show at its Rain Vortex, while Mandai Wildlife Reserve plans a takeover of Exploria, its immersive multimedia attraction.
National Gallery Singapore will connect BTS music with works in its Pop after Pop: Art around Us exhibition. The National Museum of Singapore will host themed light and sound installations.
On Sentosa, the planned experiences include a BTS-music drone show and rave, a themed race and installations. Resorts World Sentosa will stage fireworks choreographed to BTS music within Universal Studios Singapore, while The Kallang will offer interactive themed zones. Zouk Singapore is planning opening- and closing-night takeovers.
From December 8 to 22, landmarks around Marina Bay and the Singapore River are also set to glow ARIRANG red, including the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay and several bridges.
The month-long schedule surrounds BTS’ sold-out National Stadium concerts on December 17, 19, 20 and 22. Some individual activation details remain forthcoming.
Why the citywide format matters
HYBE has already taken BTS THE CITY ARIRANG to Seoul, Las Vegas, Busan, London and New York. Singapore brings that experience to Southeast Asia for the first time.
For destination marketers, the mechanics are clear: turn the fan’s concert trip into a wider itinerary. Each location offers a different reason to visit, from art and music to nightlife and immersive entertainment. The destination itself becomes part of the artist’s experience.
That is a different proposition from a conventional tourism endorsement. Rather than simply showing an artist in a destination campaign, the partnership gives fans real places to go and activities to join.
It also builds on a relationship between STB and HYBE’s labels that dates to 2024, spanning social content, artist events and music-video production featuring Singapore landmarks.
Oliver Chong, STB’s assistant chief executive for its International Group, described the initiative as the board’s largest citywide destination project with a recording-artist partner.
What marketers can learn from the activation
The first lesson is that fandom can organize a multi-partner experience. Attractions that usually compete for visitors can become stops in one recognizable cultural program.
The second is that a touring artist creates a natural time window. The concerts anchor the attention, but the surrounding activation stretches participation across an entire month. That can help distribute fan activity beyond four stadium dates, although the actual tourism or spending impact has not yet been disclosed.
The third is that local relevance comes from the execution. A waterfall light show, a museum art trail and a nightlife takeover do not offer the same experience. Each uses the setting’s existing strengths while participating in a shared BTS identity.
The campaign remains an announced plan, not a completed performance case study. STB says more details will follow. For now, BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SINGAPORE shows how a global fandom can become the organizing idea for an entire destination’s entertainment calendar.
